Offline reed rotation journal
Give every reed a fair turn.
Reed Shelf helps clarinet and saxophone players track reed rotation, playing response, rest periods, blind picks and retirement decisions without accounts, cloud sync, audio analysis or internet services.
What the app is for
Reed Shelf is built for musicians who keep several reeds in rotation and want a clearer record than memory alone. It is not a tuner, metronome, lesson diary, social platform, or audio-analysis tool.
See which active reeds are available for the next practice, based on status and rest timing.
Choose from the ready queue without seeing favorite metrics first, then compare the result later.
Notice repeated issues, falling stability, chipped tips, fragile verdicts and reeds that may be close to retirement.
How it works
Designed for offline use
Local by design
The app is intended to store reed data, play logs, blind pick logs and profile settings locally with UserDefaults and Codable. Optional photos stay in local app storage as file paths.
No audio claims
Reed Shelf does not record sound, analyze tone, scan packaging, connect to cloud services, or make objective acoustic judgments. It only organizes the musician’s own notes.
